Introduction of Department:
Government of India has decided to provide quantity education and easy access of primary school within the radius of 1Km, higher primary schools 5kms.Department aims at 100% admission between the age group of 6 to 14.
All the students who got admission in the school have to retain in school every child must have minimum level of learning at least should have MLL to achieve this, basic infrastructure basic facilities like drinking water, toilets, training for teachers will be provided and students teachers ratio has to be improved by keeping irrespective of providing quality education.
In Ramanagara district there are 2305 human Habitations. All the habitations have schools in Ramanagara district. Total 821 lower primary schools, 565 higher primary schools and 328 high schools which include government aided and unaided institutions. Kendriya vidyalaya apart from these institutions. One KV and Javahar Navodaya institution is also in Ramanagara district. There are 1716 institutions are established in Ramanagara district.
Objectives and Mission :
The mission of the Department of Primary and Secondary Education is to equip children of the State with specified knowledge, skills and values to enable them to become good human beings and productive, socially responsible citizens and to achieve excellence in whatever they do.
Plans and Programmes:
OOSC out of school children :-
Some of the public are derived of formal education due to various reasons pupil between the age group of 6-14 than who are away from the schools are considered as out of school child. As per the recent guidance of the department , if a child doesn’t attened the school for more than 7days continuously will alsi be treated as OOSC.
Steps taken to bring back OOSC children to mainstream:-
- To retain all the children have admitted to school parents meeting, mothers meeting are to be organized.
- After identifying the OOSC children through survey they are readmitted to schools.
- To conduct quality survey of OOSC children H.M, A.M & CRP’s visits to homes of every child.
- Each Hobli levels attendance authority [ECO] have appointed to monitor OOSC.
- Every Saturday information will be conducted from all the schools by ECO’s/Hobli level, Nodel officers, notice will be given to the parents of OOSC in annexure-05
- Acknowledgements will be collected in annexure-06 from the parents of OOSC.
- They will be given information of important of education to enlighten their knowledge to bring back their child to school.
- Information will be provided to all the parents of OOSC at different levels (School, Cluster and Block) them ration card, aadhar card, photo’s of OOSC are collected and database is being maintained.
- Information of different plans and schemes are of being given to the parts of transforms then to bring back their children to mainstream.
- Providing admissions in residential hostels like KGBV, KKGBV
- Counseling to OOSC kids
- Supports are being taken from SDMC members and other NGO’s

RTE : Right to Education
To Provide free and compulsory education between the age group of 6-14 RTE was implemented under under articles 21 (a) of Indian Constitution. According to 21(a) central and state Govt are held responsible to implement article 21(a) to restore child rights
NALI-KALI
As the name itself indicates this is purely activity oriented. Multi class multilevel teaching. On this method students can learning according to their pace of learning. In this technique teacher will be a guide, students are free to learn concepts without any stress of examination.

KARNATAKA PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Karnataka has a 4 stage system of formal school education, namely Lower primary Education, Higher primary Education, Secondary education and Higher secondary Education. For these four stages there are three distinct administrative and academic structures for primary education, secondary education and pre-university education. The segmentation of formal education in 4 stages and 3 administrative and academic structures has caused adverse impact on enrolment on quality education.
The State Government has adopted the policy of every child in schools and learning well. This policy aligned to the right to education act requires continuation of the schools even with low strength. Especially those in smaller and far of villages at the same time innovative measures are needed to include pedagogical vialblity of the schools they help the students learn better.
Objectives:
- The objectives of these schools shall be to ensure that the least 3/4th of all students in each class achieve minimum 3/4th’s of competencies prescribed for their class and the remaining 1/4th’s of students achieve minimum half of the learning competencies.
- A credible system of assessing the learning outcome shall be established.
In Ramanagara district we have 6 KPS institutions in each Vidhanasabha Constituency.

In 2017-18 and 2018-19 many school in ramanagara have been upgraded for quality improvement in Karnataka Public School. For pre-primary classes 30 students have been admitted in KPS in Ramanagra district.

In 2019-20, 24 English medium schools (in 2019-20 english medium teaching was started from the 1st standard) are started in Ramanagara District. 24 teachers are given training to incorporate teaching learning activity in English medium

Eco – Club Activities:-
Under the flagship program national green crops selected schools from government higher primary schools, GHS and aided school grants have been given for the school cleanness, school garden, kitchen garden for growing medical plants. To educate children regarding about pollution is the primary goal of Eco club.
Children Science festival:
Every child before accepting anything it is necessary to develop the minor of enquiry necessary program have to be implemented to enhance the minor quiry of howwhy to achieve this conversation, observation, demonstration techniques are utilized to teach the particular concept.
CSF is the one of the best program which is started in 2019-20 to achieve to above objectives programs is conducted at different levels [cluster district].
Kala Utsav:-
India is very rich in cultural heritage in bibe culture of Bharata in the minds of young children music, dance, drama, etc., curricular and co-curricular activities and competitions are conducted starting from school level to national level to include the quality of national integration in the young mind. Many planned activates are being conducted to achieve the aims of Eak Bharath and Shreshta Bharath to enhance the quality of teaching and learning many activities of art and cultural heritage are included in teaching and learning process.
